I am a Certified Veterinary Technician. I have a bachelors degree and am Fear Free Certified, a Feline Friendly Practitioner, an AAHA Anesthesia Champion and Lead Surgical Technician at a local Veterinary Hospital.

My family has been owned by dogs since I was born; there has rarely been a time in my life where my home has not been occupied by an animal. From a young age I have cared not only for my own animals, but those of family, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances also. Small animals to larger livestock; I have experiences with many different species and breeds of animals. I graduated from Wilson College with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Facilitated Therapeutics, Equine, and Equestrian Studies. Holding a career in the equine industry I not only cared for and maintained multiple horses at a time, but also taught riding lessons to equestrians of all abilities, and personally showed horses across different disciplines. After well over seven years in the equine field, a change in career led me to a small animal veterinary clinic in York, PA. As I increased my knowledge in the veterinary setting, I worked my way into a technician and surgery assistant role. Not only am I proficient in caring for multiple species of animals, I am also able to administer medications and basic first aid needs. I have taken pet CPR courses, assisted with puppy training courses, and held a Fear Free Certification during my time at the veterinary clinic. In the warmer months you can find me on the dock with my dog Paisley; we compete in dock diving competitions! Our competitions have been a bit more sporadic with two tiny humans running around, but Paisley has qualified for the DockDogs World Championships in both 2021 and 2022. She is currently titled Big Air Senior in DockDogs and Dock Senior in North American Diving Dogs; this means she jumps between fifteen and twenty feet!

I have worked in a variety of animal settings including an equine breeding farm, zoo, veterinary clinic, and currently in a veterinary pharmacy. I am Fear Free Certified.

I've worked with all sorts of animals from dogs to kangaroos. I've been pet sitting since highschool and volunteering at shelters for 3+ years. I have completed an internship with Humane World for Animals. I am studying Animal Behavior at Millersville University and I love meeting new pets!

I am so lucky to have the chance to work with animals, for it is my true passion! From caring for cats in a shelter, pet sitting, and training horses, I find that I seem to have a connection with all animals. On top of that I always strive to go above and beyond not only for the pet, but for the owner as well.
